REAL TIME ULTRASOUND

Real time ultrasound has made it to the Kalamunda Physiotherapy Centre!  This is a major step in the assessment and treatment of chronic low back pain and women's health issues.  The machine allows the therapist and patient to view the patient's ability to contract specific "core stabilising" muscles and the effects these contractions have on the patient's pain levels and function.  It is an invaluable tool as it provides both therapist and patient powerful visual feedback of the contraction abilities of these important muscle groups.
